A Respiração : Dimensão Psíquica e Espiritual

Os exercícios de respiração agem de maneira benéfica sobre a saúde, é claro, mas também sobre a força de vontade e o pensamento. Experimentem: se tiverem de levantar um peso, poderão fazê-lo com maior facilidade depois de uma respiração profunda. Nas pequenas atividades da vida cotidiana, em suas relações com os outros, pensem também em respirar, pois isso lhes dará autodomínio. Antes de uma reunião, por exemplo, para que a conversa não degenere em discussão, habituem-se a respirar bem. E, se estiverem perturbados, por que não pedir a ajuda dos pulmões? Eles estão aí para ajudá-los. Por dois ou três minutos, inspirem e expirem profundamente: seus pensamentos ficarão mais leves e claros.
