Estar satisfeito com o próprio destino e descontente consigo mesmo” Existem várias maneiras de estar satisfeito, a primeira é a dos animais: satisfeitos com o próprio destino, não veem as próprias limitações e portanto não procuram livrar-se delas para progredir. Mas essa mentalidade, normal no caso dos animais, não é benéfica para os seres humanos…embora muitos se contentem com ela. Uma segunda maneira de estar satisfeito com o próprio destino chama-se aceitação. O homem compreende que as provações por que passa resultam de seus erros passados e as suporta. Mas não para por aí: sabe que precisa se esforçar para corrigir esses erros, preencher essas lacunas. Isto é sabedoria. É necessário aceitar o próprio destino como consequência dos erros cometidos nas vidas anteriores, mas nunca estar satisfeito com seu grau de evolução atual, querendo sempre progredir.
A insatisfação consigo mesmo é um sentimento que pode estimulá-los, levá-los a progredir. Entretanto, para que essa insatisfação não se transforme numa obsessão destruidora, é preciso restabelecer o equilíbrio. Essa atitude interior os impedirá de cair num estado demasiado negativo, que poderia levá-los a um total desânimo. Trate de encontrar o bem e a beleza em todos os seres, particularmente naqueles que contribuiram, com seu gênio e suas virtudes, para a evolução da humanidade. Desse modo, vocês estarão sempre maravilhados, sem correr o risco de caírem no desespero.”
